FSIJ board meeting is held today at Akihabara Dai-Building.
We discuss on several events near future.

- 2nd CodeFest in Japan will be held on Oct 14th-15th at Kyoto.
- we'll need to find some staff members.

- final review will be held on Oct 23th (Sunday) at Akihabara

Summerdojo 2005 interim report meeting
Since 3 projects accepted on July 7th, we have
interim report meeting of
summerdojo2005
at Tokyo Metoropolitan Gymnasium in Sendagaya, Tokyo.
- Enhance gonzui language supports by Kenichi Ishibashi
- develop language module (LangScan module) used in indexer
- split source code into tokens according to program language's syntax rule
- target: Scheme, Emacs Lisp, C#
- use GNU flex for lexical analysis + Ruby scripts

Judging meeting for summerdojo applications
We hold IRC meeting to judge
summerdojo applications.
We plan 1 hour, but it takes about 2 hours and half to decide final
approvals. We received 9 applications and approve 3 of them.

Summer Code Dojo 2005
FSIJ will run Summer Code Dojo 2005.
This is Japanese version of
Summer of Code by Google.
Google will pay $4,500 for each student developers, approved by FSIJ.
We're looking forward to get ambitious proposal from students who is
full of drive. It would be nice for the free software developer,
especially for students, to get some money by developing some software
instead of by usual part-time job.
If you're student and instead in proposed project or have more cool
project, please apply!

FSIJ: Annual General Meeting 2005
Today, FSIJ hold Annual General Meeting 2005. I act as chairman at the
meeting, and gniibe and hironobu act as minutes signers.
1st subject is 2004 activity report.
- We supported free software developers and users by managing several
servers, with great support of [http://www.bbtower.co.jp/ BroadBand
Tower]. These servers are used for http://www.fsij.org, archive server
for http://snapshot.debian.net/, https://members.fsij.org/,
http://www.linux-m32r.org/, http://www.gentoo.gr.jp.
- working group activities, such as Zope, Gentoo, desktop.
- international exchanges by attending foreign country events such as LinuxTag2004 (Germany), CodeFest Korea (Korean), Asia Debian MiniCOnf (China), FSF Associate Member Meeting (USA)
- monthly technical seminars, with SEA.
- We made an effrot to establish developers-oriented event, CodeFest in Asia.
- We closed profit business in order to eliminate residence tax.
- We started to have supporting members.
2nd subject is 2005 activity plan.
- We continute to manage system, organize working group and support projects in order to support free software developers and users.
- We'll attend foreign country events, hold monthly seminar and help foreign country events, and give a lecture if requested.
- As new activity, we hold CofeFest Japan twice a year or so.
- We don't sell goods anymore.
3rd subject is directors' reelection
- reappointment: gniibe, hironobu, iida, ukai, knok
- continue: shindo, akr (auditor)
- newly-appointed: kkojima
After that, we(hironobu, iida, knok, ukai) have a lunch at
Otanko (Sushi) at Bunkyo Green Court.

CodeFest Japan 2005
FSIJ will run CodeFest Japan 2005
on June 3rd to June 4th.
This is the first CodeFest in Japan. CodeFest is the event that hackers, who
usually discuss on the Internet and rarely meet face-to-face, meet togther one
place a day, and have free source codes and disuss/develop software/projects,
such as Bug Squashing marathon, settle software release, release new version
of software, show new feature implementations and so on, and most importantly
enjoy hacking'''.
FSIJ provides the field for free discussions and free hacking on source code,
that could be possible in free software.

FSIJ board meeting is held today. We discuss schedule of annual general
meeting, membership fee demands, next year's activities and so on.
Annual general meeting will be held on June 18th (or June 25th).
We also discuss CodeFesta in Japan. We'd like to have CodeFesta or
such events twice in a year and first candidates of 1st CodeFesta
in Japan would be at the weekend of LinuxWorld/
LinuxConference2005.
Next meeting will be held on April 10th.
